We are seeking associates (Rechtsanwälte) (m/f/d) to join our M&A and Corporate practices’ China team at our offices across Germany.
Your role
Your future role will include providing comprehensive advice to our Asian clients, particularly from China, on M&A transactions and corporate law as well as assisting German companies with their activities in Asia. Gleiss Lutz has advised on a large number of transactions involving Chinese parties in recent years and has established a strong reputation as a leading law firm for Chinese investors in Germany.
Recent highlights include:
- Sunshine Lake Pharma on its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and privatisation of YiChang HEC
- CAC Nantong Chemical on its acquisition of HELM AG’s European chemical plant protection portfolio
- ruhlamat on the sale of its Chinese business to private equity investor CenturiumCapital
- Centre Testing International on its acquisition of imat-uve
Your profile
- State examinations with grades of fully satisfactory (vollbefriedigend) or better
- Ideally, relevant experience in M&A and Corporate Law
- Business-fluent English, preferably acquired abroad
- Additional qualifications such as an LL.M. or doctorate welcome
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, a focus on solutions, dedication, team spirit and a strong sense of responsibility
