We are seeking associates (Rechtsanwälte) (m/f/d) to join our M&A, Corporate and Data Protection/Data Regulatory practices’ Japan team at our offices across Germany.
Your role
Your future role will include providing comprehensive advice to our Asian clients, particularly from Japan, on M&A transactions and corporate law as well as assisting German companies in Asia. Gleiss Lutz has advised on a large number of transactions involving Japanese parties in recent years and has established a strong reputation as a leading law firm for Japanese investors in Germany.
Recent highlights include:
- Daikin on its acquisition of Deltatherm
- Konica Minolta on the sale of its majority shareholding in MOBOTIX AG
- Cool Japan Fund on its investment in Grover
- SLM Solutions on Nikon’s takeover bid
Your profile
- State examinations with grades of fully satisfactory (vollbefriedigend) or better
- Ideally, relevant experience in M&A, Corporate and Data Protection/Data Regulatory practices
- Business-fluent English, preferably acquired abroad
- Additional qualifications such as an LL.M. or doctorate welcome
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, a focus on solutions, dedication, team spirit and a strong sense of responsibility
