We are seeking research assistants (wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter) (m/f/d) to join our Employment practice at our Berlin office.
Our international team has long been at the forefront of employment law in Germany. We advise and represent large and medium-sized companies, groups, and public authorities in Germany and abroad on all aspects of collective and individual employment law, on planning and implementing corporate reorganisations and transactions, in negotiations with trade unions and works councils, on contract drafting, in company pensions matters, and in domestic and cross-border litigation. Our full service approach enables us to provide seamless advice on interdisciplinary issues.
We also actively contribute to the development of German employment law through numerous publications and lectures, combining outstanding expertise with genuine passion for our profession.
Your role
You’ll work closely with our lawyers and assist on ongoing client work. You’ll research and analyse complex employment law issues and present your findings in a clear and structured manner. You’ll contribute to drafting, reviewing and revising pleadings, contracts and other legal documents. You’ll also assist on academic publications and prepare concise, practice-oriented analyses of recent developments in case law and legislation. You’ll work with AI-based technologies as part of your day-to-day legal work.
Your profile
- First (or preferably first and second) state examination(s), each with a grade of fully satisfactory (vollbefriedigend) or better
- Interest in business and employment-related issues and challenging legal work. Prior knowledge of employment law (for example from a university specialisation), as well as some experience in writing for academic publications, would be an advantage.
- Enthusiasm for and preferably experience in applying innovative AI-based technologies in the legal profession.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
